Fresh of my realization that I posted at www.advanceddungeonsanddragons.com , yet to be mentioned on this page, that Hasbro Dungeons & Dragons is due for a new version of their game which will be 6th Edition the mainstream book store version usually gets released every five or six years or so.
That makes them due for a brand new 6th Edition right now, I can’t stress how fun it is to play the game as it is released live to the book store and follow along on Youtube which I did for 5th Edition is something you don’t want to miss if you love Dungeons & Dragons.
Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition still looks brand new at the mainstream bookstores but it is played out, and worn out on the internet and specifically Youtube.
I’ll have much more on 5th Edition later including what I think is a correction in my game guides that 5e does have NPC (non-player characters) but I’m not sure if that mistake on my page is mine or Hasbro’s, I mean I just started to go through the 5e game books for this page and they have a NPC section in the Dungeon Masters Guide but I did not see this stressed enough in the Players Handbook, it’s not an overly stressed feature of the game anyway.
Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition compared to Advanced Dungeons & Dragons specifically has more game creation content with adventurer manuals and large adventure modules.
For myself I like to play Official Game Modules because you get to see how the game is intended to be played from Hasbro with specific game play scenarios with no guessing and access to new features and monsters including new supplements in addition to the Monster Manual called “Volo’s Guide To Monsters” which is a Monster Manual Expansion and walk through for game play with new monsters in the book.
This also comes with more game creation guides in the Dungeon Masters Guide and dice roll generation for adventure setup to create maps and dungeons, in addition “Sword Coast Adventure’s Guide” is an additional book to go with “Volo’s Guide To Monsters” and the “Dungeon Master’s Guide” to help create your own game adventures.
You have to realize one of the biggest mistakes people make when they see these titles is that you don’t have to know what they are in advance to understand the game, these are the books where they are introducing the game settings for the first time even if the characters might be from older versions. like “Volo” who is a character in the game and Sword Coast which is a campaign adventure setting in 5th Edition.
This game also includes cartoon settings and humor settings as additional books which must please younger audiences but these are things you can overlook if you are a fan of the older regular game.
Much more on that later on this blog when I do a run through of 5th Edition features in a future blog post.
What’s the connection to X-Men with that?
Easy, we’re playing live here while we’re blogging…that’s the best part of the game.
Now you have a chance to get in on the launch of the new X-Men live as it’s released on Digital on Marvel Unlimited.
Marvel Unlimited is a newer app from Hasbro which features access 29,000 comic books for a low monthly subscription, that combined with the new Google D20 Dice Rolling App makes this a good Digital setup.
Now I can finally play Dungeon’s & Dragons and read comics on my laptop at the same time while using my smartphone for my dice rolling app.
That makes it pretty cozy around my office, just a quick cut in here…for my X-Men Fan Fiction Comics I need to just remind everyone that my Wolverine has the brown suit and has his memory back and his adamantium skeleton has turned organic from his healing factor and make his bones organic steel.
I have have to get that plug in fast for my fan fiction section because I also have my own fan fiction version of Marvel Girl who is in my Spider-Man And His Amazing Friends script.
That’s because when I got up today and read the news on the internet for the latest disaster report the only story on Google News was the release of the new X-men….featuring who?
That’s right Marvel Girl is back with an all new X-Men team at Hasbro which was the bigger story on the news this morning on Google.
Now watching the Dungeons & Dragons release schedule with a new version out ever five or six years they are do for a new game which will be the 6th Edition so make sure you get in on that so you can play live at home while they release it on the internet (which is the best part of the game) and now on Marvel Unlimited Digital you can follow along live as the new X-Men is released on their app while they promote on pages like Youtube.
I really can’t stress enough how playing and following along live on the internet at the game and comic release is the best part reading comics and playing Dungeons & Dragons.
